Fluctuation / Distorted Phase

The familiar lunar form is displaced, fluctuating, or distorted. Rather than treating deviation as error, the work uses it to reveal that perception is never fixed. What appears stable is continually reorganised by attention, memory, expectation, and the material conditions of light. The altered phase is therefore both an image of the moon and an image of seeing itself. Distortion opens a space between physical phenomenon and inner experience—a space in which the visible world is reconstructed.

見慣れた月の形がずれ、揺らぎ、歪みます。その偏差を誤りとして扱うのではなく、知覚が決して固定されていないことを示すために用いています。安定して見えるものも、注意、記憶、予期、光の物質的条件によって絶えず再編成されます。変形した位相は月の像であると同時に、見ること自体の像です。歪みは物理現象と内的経験の間に、可視世界が再構築される空間を開きます。
